When exporting sales transactions, how are the account drop-down menus populated?


When exporting sales transactions to QuickBooks Online, drop down menus are labeled as “Product/Service” and are populated with the products and services items configured within your QuickBooks file. All sales exported to QuickBooks must map to a product/service item. Each “Products & Services” record is directly correlated to an account from your Chart of Accounts in QBO.


When exporting sales to Xero, drop down menus are labeled as “line items” and are populated with a combination of "Product & Service" items, revenue accounts, asset accounts, equity accounts, expense accounts and liability accounts.
